Reading release notes like a reviewer

Release notes reward slow reading. We teach students to tag each bullet as either behavioral, deprecating, or cosmetic, then map only the first two categories to console tasks within twenty-four hours.

The second paragraph habit matters: many breaking changes hide beneath friendly headings. We pair students so one reads aloud while the other navigates, which catches awkward wording early.

We end with a reflection question: which bullet would change your current portfolio project? If none, you either need a bolder project or you are finally caught up—both are useful outcomes.
